About the course

The GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) Package has been developed to combine all five mandatory Global Wind Organisation training modules required for working onshore and offshore within the renewables and wind turbine industry.

All five mandatory GWO refresher modules are combined in a single 4 day package course.

GWO First Aid Refresher Training

The aim of this Global Wind Organisation refresher course is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills from the GWO BST First Aid Course through theoretical and practical training so that delegates can administer safe and effective First Aid in the Wind Industry in accordance with GWO BST/BSTR First Aid training.

GWO Sea Survival Refresher Training

The aim of this Global Wind Organisation refresher course is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through open questions and practical training. Delegates shall be able to act safely and take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel or WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) and vice versa, both during normal operation and in an emergency in an offshore Wind Turbine environment.

GWO Working at Height Refresher Training

The aim of this Global Wind Organisation refresher course is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training so that Delegates can use basic personal protective equipment and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescues from heights in the Wind Turbine industry / WTG environment.

GWO Manual Handling Refresher Training

The aim of this Global Wind Organisation refresher course is to encourage positive Manual Handling behaviour and the ability to perform Manual Handling tasks in a safe manner in the Wind Turbine industry.

GWO Fire Awareness Refresher Training

The aim of this Global Wind Organisation refresher course is to give the delegates the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire and if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic handheld firefighting equipment.
